Our Final Week

Oh. My. Goodness.

We are days away from the end of our month-long crowdfunding campaign. We can't believe it.

It's been a crazy month, filled with ups and down and rights and lefts and pretty much any other direction we can go in.

We started with a website, a Facebook, and a dream: to run a successful crowdfunding campaign, win Hometown Heroes, and make a movie in Sycamore. We had a little over 100 people following us on Facebook when we launched our Seed&Spark page all the way back in the middle of September, and now we have 636 people following us!

We started with monetary donations from our family and closest friends, and we've now gotten over $17,310 pledged through a combination of monetary donations, equipment loans, and food donations from local restaurants around town (no offence to anyone else, but we're most excited about that. We really like food.)

Of the 72 films competing in the Hometown Heroes rally, we're in the top 20. That's pretty impressive, considering we're probably the smallest hometown competing (yay Sycamore!). When you're going up against towns like Chicago, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia, you know your heart is going to have to make up for your size!

We still have a chance to make it into the top 10 and be a finalist for the competition, but it's going to take a lot. We have faith our incredible community can pull together and make it happen. We've got just 3 days left to make it to our 80% and get our follower count up past 1,612.

If everyone who is a current fan donates $11 and gets one other person to follow, we'll be there. That seems like a dream that's within our grasp. We're going to work as hard as we can to make it happen, and bring this film to the screen. Will you help?
